Walter Alfred Shoaf, 85, of Lexington, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday November 12, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Jones officiating services.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Shoaf was born May 7, 1936, in Davidson County to John Willie Shoaf and Mamie Alice Perryman Shoaf. Walter worked at Frank IX for over 40 years and in his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and farming. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Peggy Joan Grubb Shoaf; two sons, Terry Shoaf and Johnny Shoaf and three sisters, Carol Phillips, Audrey Everhart, and Anna Potts.
Surviving are his brother, James Shoaf (Virginia) of Lexington; his niece, Sylvia Spurlin of Lexington; a brother-in-law, Buford Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Grayson Creek for their loving care of Mr. Shoaf.
Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
