Walter "Walt" John Anderson

Walter “Walt” John Anderson, 90, a resident of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in Hinkle Hospice House. Walt was born March 21, 1933 to the late Robert Miller and Maree Stull Anderson. He worked for Coble Dairy in Lexington for many years. Walt was a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church where he was very active and took care of the landscaping. He enjoyed taking walks, working in his yard, and was an avid sports fan, specifically the Tarheels and the Steelers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Simulia Anderson; a son, Dennis Anderson; his brothers and sisters; and two sons-in-law, Gerald Gross and Phillip Pecora.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Holly Grove Lutheran Church with Pastor Anna Carter officiating. The visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family.

Left to cherish Walt’s memory are his children, John Walter Anderson (Collette) of Kane, PA, Thomas Anderson (Kathy) of Bradford, PA, Jacalyn “Jackie” Gross of Derrick City, PA, and Sheryl Pecora also of Bradford, PA; stepchildren, Bill Linn (Jane) of Wilmington and Susan McCarthy of Tampa, FL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a special caretaker, Diane.
