Wanda Cassidy

Mrs. Wanda Cassidy, age 49, of Royal Ave., Lexington, died Saturday, Sept. 1, at her residence. Mrs. Cassidy was born March 23, 1953 in Macdowel County West Virginia, to Felix Rodriguiz Acosta and Josephine Mitchem Acosta. She was employed with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as an Operating Room Administration Supervisor. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Winston Salem Moose Lodge and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband Wayne Cassidy of the home; 2 sons, Shane Cassidy of Lexington and Rodney Cassidy of Monroe; four brothers: Jim Acosta, and Johnnie Acosta, both of Virginia, Pete Acosta of Tennessee and George Acosta of Lexington; two sisters: Norma Knill of Lexington and Nellie Pritt of West Virginia. Also she is survived by a Special Niece Lizzie Flanagan of Illinois. The family has requested that all that would like to sign the register may do so at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
