Wanda Hann Deremer

Wanda Hann DeRemer, age 80 of Waywood Drive, Lexington passed away Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem after an sudden illness.

A funeral servie will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30 prior to the service.

Wanda was born on November 27, 1937 in Washington County, NJ to Clement William Hann and Viola Cordelia Walters Hann. She was a retried employee of Henry Link Furniture, a homemaker and a member of Community Fellowship Moravian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Emil DeRemer, Sr. in 2015 and a daughter, Bonnie Sutton.

Surviving are her sons, John E. DeRemer, Jr. and Frank DeRemer both of Lexington; daughers, Sherri Legg (David), Linda Smith (John), Joanne Starr (John), Christie Cline (Rico) all of Lexington, Cheryl Michael of Thomasville and Michelle Parnell and companion Sam Carpenter of Calabash, NC; 31 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Smith of New Jersey, Pauline Schuyler of Pennsylvania, Wendy Herr of Hickory, NC, Cathy Herr of Granite Falls, NC, Josie Powell of Hickory and Joy Sadorski of Wyoming.
