Wanda Woods Evans

Mrs. Wanda Woods Evans, 77, of Evans Road,  Thomasville, died Saturday, December 23 in High Point after declining health.   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 28 at Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church in Thomasville conducted by Rev. Gary Myers.   Burial will follow in the Thomasville City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on Evans Road.  Mrs. Evans was born November 15, 1940 in  Davidson County to Herman Ray Woods and Mary Zelma Jones Wood.  She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.   Her husband, Thomas Charles Evans Sr, preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by sisters Kitty Trotter and Doris Wright.  She is survived by her children, Karen  Evans Wilson  and husband Darrell of Raleigh;  Tommy Evans, Jr. and wife Dana of Thomasville;  Chris Evans  and wife Shelley of Spartanburg, SC and Cindy Evans Smith of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren,  Carrie Wilson, Darrell Wilson, Jr. and Austin M. Smith; Brothers Buddy Woods, Harold Woods and wife Nancy all of Thomasville, Wayne Woods and wife Linda of Lenoir; sister, Judy McDaniel of Thomasville; sister-in-laws Sara Jones and husband George and Judy Smith and husband Darrell all of Thomasville.
