Ward Holton Mahala

Ward Holton Mahala, 89, of Abbotts Creek Church Road, Kernersville, died Monday May 26, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Roy Green officiating services. The family will receive from 6 to 8 Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Mahala was born September 10, 1924 in Davidson County to James Henry Mahala and Frankie Cross Mahala. He was retired from Road Way Express and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Clark Mahala. Surviving are a son Gary Mahala of Kernersville; and a daughter Pamela Mahala of Kentucky, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
