Warren Oliver Guy, age 82, of Lexington passed away Wednesday night at Hinkle Hospice House.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Lexington City Cemetery with Pastor Tim Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home.
Warren was born August 15, 1932 in Avery County to Troy William and Margie Mann Guy. He was a retired employee of Dixie Furniture; was a member of Flat Springs Baptist Church attended Spruce Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Kim Guy; sister, Loy Clawson; and sister-in-law, Willis Guy.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Joy Norris Guy; daughter, Debbie Cooper (Andy) of Lexington; sons, Eddie Guy (Dona) of China Grove and Terry Guy of Lexington; three grandchildren; Josh Guy, Leslie Hawley and Andy Joe Cooper and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Blanche Trivette (Ira) of Banner Elk, Betty Greene (Claude) of Burnsville, Judy Hartley (Dennis), Shirley Lambert (Fred) all of Butler, TN. brothers, Wesley Guy of Butler, TN, Ricky Guy (Susan) of Marion, NC; brother-in-law, James Clawson of Butler, TN.
