Warren Lee Wilson, Sr. age 86 of South NC Highway 150, Lexington, formerly of Chapel Drive passed away Wednesday morning at his home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday (6-13-2009) at Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ, with Rev. Dave Ambroso and Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Paul’s Chapel Cemetery.
Warren was born in Lee County, NC November 2, 1922 to Robert Lee Wilson and Blennie Clark Wilson. He was a retired machinist with Bahnson Company, a member of Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ and a veteran of the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by parents and wife Ruth Hudson Wilson who died April 26, 2008, two brothers Robert Dewitt Wilson and Lindsey Wilson.
Surviving are: two daughters, Susan Payne and husband Jeff of Lexington and Deborah Jackson and husband Bob of Fort Worth, TX; two sons, Warren Lee Wilson, Jr. and wife Angela and Timothy Eugene Wilson all of Lexington; four grandchildren, Adam Wilson, Keith Jackson, Derrick Jackson, Dylan Payne; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Ashton Wilson and Addison Mackenzie Hall; one step-grandson, Bryan Payne; two sisters Eleanor Thomas of Pittsboro and Ann Lloyd of Durham.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm Friday and at other times at the home on NC Highway 150, Lexington.
