Wayne Fleenor

Arthur “Wayne” Fleenor, 73, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

A memorial service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Reeds Baptist Church, with Pastor Henry Watterson officiating.

Wayne was born on May 11, 1953, in Elizabethton, Tennessee, to Albert David Fleenor and Wilma Blevins Fleenor. He was a faithful member of Reeds Baptist Church and dearly loved his church family.

Wayne was a jokester at heart, and some might even say he never quite grew up. He loved to have fun, pick, cut up, and keep those around him laughing. His playful spirit and larger-than-life personality were a bright light to his family and friends, and he had a way of bringing joy wherever he went. Wayne loved people, and the laughter, stories, and good times he shared with those around him will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Fleenor, Bobby Fleenor, and James Fleenor; and sisters, Carolyn Hale, Gloria Wishon Pat Franklin, and Janet Fritts.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Judy Odom Fleenor; daughter, Kris Fleenor (Todd Brown); two stepsons, David Rumfelt (La’La) and Heath Rumfelt (Wendy); grandchildren, Faith Brown James Brown, and Amelia Rumfelt; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
