Clarence Wayne Leonard, 65, of Arnold Road Lexington, died Saturday February 23, 2013 at his home.
A Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brandon Harrison officiating. Burial will follow Center United Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday.
Mr. Leonard was born in Davidson County, July 4, 1947, to Clarence Ruffus Leonard and Gladys Walser Leonard. He graduated from North Davidson Senior High School in 1965. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church and was formerly employed at Duracell but later retired from Kimberly Clark Corporation. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, earning the Purple Heart Award.
Surviving are his wife, Sue Tussey Leonard, of the home, a son Brian Leonard of the home, a daughter Heather Estep and husband Tony of Lexington, one sister Janice Lockamy of Lexington, three grandchildren Kyndall Estep, Korben Estep and Kabot Estep, three nieces; Michelle Henderson and husband Jody, Missy Dunworth and husband Steve and Stacie Briggs, four nephew; Mike Lockamy and wife Tina, Dan Tussey, wife Heather and Jason Tussey, and Brent Briggs and wife Courtney, and his loving canine friends Lucy, Baxter and Little Bit.
