Wayne Pete Sneed

Wayne Pete Sneed, 66, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Sneed was born February 11, 1954 in Concord, NC to Miller and Lucille Hicks Sneed.  He graduated from Central Davidson High School in Lexington, NC in 1972.  He was a retired machine repairman at Owens Brockway Glass in Midway.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Connie Farabee Sneed; 3 daughters, Joy Lanning, Kimberly Brown (Wesley), Amanda Sneed Hedrick (Derek); one son, Daniel Sneed (Melissa); 4 granddaughters, Melanie Price (Dustin), Katelynn Sneed, Abigail Sneed, Lydia Sneed and one great-granddaughter, Josie Claire Price; 2 sisters, Jerry Smith (Ronnie) of Ramseur, Judy Houser also of Ramseur and his best four-legged friend, Henri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Donnie Sneed and Jim Sneed; 2 sisters, Millie Wilson (Leroy), Cathy Bolen (Steve) and also, the best dog in the world, Jax.

He attended Living Water Baptist Church of Lexington.  One of the things that always brought a smile to his face was seeing his granddaughters and his great-granddaughter.  He was very proud of his children and grandchildren for all they have accomplished in their lives.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14 th at 4:00 pm at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Revs. Bud Powell, Wesley Brown and Daniel Sneed.

The family will receive friends at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, please make any monetary donations to Hospice of Davidson County.
