Wayne Walser

Jerry Wayne Walser, 79, of Lexington passed away Saturday January 23 at his home. A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Westside Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Jason Koontz and Rev. Arkon Stewart.  The family will see friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm Saturday prior to the service at the church.  Mr. Walser will lie in state from 1-4 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, however the family will not be present. The family request people attending to social distance and wear a mask.

Wayne was born June 30, 1941 in Davidson County to Claude Graham Walser and Ethel Frances Slaydon Walser. He was co-owner of Walser’s Heating and Air. He was of The Moravian faith and was an avid Nascar fan. His parents and a brother, Graham Walser preceded him in death.

Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Sylvia Jane Sapp Walser of the home. His daughter,Cindy Walser Sink (Rodney) of Lexington and their son Andrew Sink, his only grandchild  of Lexington. Also surviving are a sister, Lane Hill (Charles) of Lexington and many loving nieces and nephews.
