Wendi Michelle Applegate Trexler

Wendi Michelle Applegate Trexler, 37, of Burkhart Road, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in WFBH-Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Beck’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. David Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Trexler was born July 9, 1973, in Davidson County, to Robert James Applegate and Paula McCrary Applegate. She was a graduate of Davidson County Community College and a Clothing Fit Specialist at National Wholesale. At her church she was a member and treasurer of the Hand Bells Choir and a past member of the church council. Mrs. Trexler enjoyed passing her time cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul W. McCrary; her grandparents, Harry and Adeline Applegate; and mother-in-law, Jeanne Trexler. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Roger Keith Trexler Jr. of the home; sister Holly Applegate Daniels and husband, Douglas; niece and nephew whom she loved dearly, Raegan Daniels and Parker Trexler; grandmother, Goldie McCrary of Lexington; and father-in-law, Roger Trexler of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Beck’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 441 Beck’s Church Road, Lexington, NC 27292; or a charity of the Donor’s choice.
