Wesley Wallace Fields, 80, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A service to honor Wallace’s life will be held 11:00am, Monday, March 2 at Linwood Baptist Church with a visitation prior to the service at 10:00 - 11:00am.  

Wallace was born on May 9, 1945, to the late Wesley Horace Fields and Mabel Lenore Wood Fields. He was a faithful member of Linwood Baptist Church and was employed as an inventory clerk with a timber company for many years. Wallace enjoyed singing, fishing, cooking and hunting, but most of all spending time with family and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Dale Fields; a daughter, Patricia Ann Atkins; and a grandson, Josh Holloman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy Beaman Fields; his son, Timothy Lynn Fields; his daughter, Angie Holloman (Scotty); son-in-law Allen Atkins; brothers, Eddie Fields (Brenda), Ronnie Fields (Ellen), and Sammy Fields; sisters, Linda Swaim, Susan Baucum (George), Annette Ferguson (Billy), Lisa Fields, and Anita McKee; seven grandchildren, step-children David Greene (Joanie), Ron Greene, Diane Mitchell, Beverly Surles (Gil), seven step-grandchildren, and nine step-great grandchildren.  

Wallace will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his church, and his work, and for the love he shared with all who knew him.
