Wesley Shane Shoaf

Wesley “Wes” or “Squirrel” Shane Shoaf, 47 of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 30, 2020.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am Monday, November 9, 2020 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Truell and will be streamed live at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome . Due to the COVID -19 pandemic there will be limits to follow as no more than 50 people may be in the building at one time and must wear a mask and use social distancing of 6 feet.

Wesley was born on June 6, 1973 in Davidson County to Lavon Gaither Shoaf and Kathy Swing Shoaf. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gaither and Janette Shoaf, Robert P. and Moiena Swing all of Lexington

Wesley was a 1991 graduate of Central Davidson High School and attended DCCC. He was employed with Howard Transporation, Inc. Ellisville, Mississippi, as a flat-bed driver which he said many times ”was his Dream Job”. Wesley loved to travel and made many friendships along the way.

Wesley had a passion for music. He played drums with his friends and was involved with several bands, was an avid music lover, had a quick wit and infectious smile; his kind and compassionate spirit will be missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Lavon and Kathy; brother, Bobby Shoaf and wife, Kim, of Lexington; nephew, Logan Shoaf, and niece, Dana Shoaf, both of Lexington, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Davidson County Animal Shelter "Toward Adoption Fee", Saint Judes Children's Hospital or any charity you prefer.
