Wetanah Nelson Barker

Wetanah Nelson Barker, age 72 of Old Linwood Road, Lexington passed away Sunday evening (4-26-2009) at Forsyth Medical Center.  Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday (4-29-2009) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Barker officiating.   Mrs. Barker was born, December 23, 1936 in Bryan County, Oklahoma, to Sam Jones Nelson and Ida Anderson Nelson. She was a retired employee of Smith Millworks.   Surviving are: one Daughter, Tonya Myers and husband Jan of Lexington; three sons, Barrett Barker and wife Sandy of Pooler, GA, Paul Barker and wife Julie and Jake Barker and wife Renee all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Derek and Emma Barker, Neil Barker, Hannah Myers, Heath and Evan Barker; four great-grandchildren, Dylan, Carson and Eli Barker and Hailee Anderson; three sisters, Joyce Foraker of Maysville, OK, Pat Butler of Purcell, OK and Mary Jane Fadley of Sonora, CA.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 until 7 pm prior to the service.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Indian College Fund, PO Box 172449, Attn; Eileen Egan, Denver, CO  80217-9797 or Jones Academy, PO Box 1210, Attn; Joy Culbreath, Durant, OK 74702-1210       Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
