Wilbur George Luebbert

Wilbur George Luebbert 89, ‘Will’ or ‘Sonny’, from Pilot Mountain NC, passed peacefully, after a long struggle with cancer, in Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson NC, surrounded by his loved ones, be it in person or in spirit on December 3, 2023, 11:24 a.m. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Janice Cole Luebbert, youngest son Benjamin Hart Luebbert of Longmont, CO.  Parents (Joe) Joseph Stephen Luebbert and Marcella Schauwecker Luebbert who were joyful at his birth on Friday July 13, 1934, (which has always been a wonderful day for him) in Westphalia, Missouri,

Survivors are Dianne Hart Fay Mother of his children. Daughters Debbie Stroud, husband Jim of Pilot Mountain NC., Marcie Luebbert of Columbia, MO.  Sons Stephen Luebbert, wife Melanie of Henderson, NV., Patrick Luebbert, wife Denise of Pinnacle NC., Benjamin Luebbert’s widow, Connie, of Longmont, CO., Daughter Maggie Nichols, of Columbia, MO. Brother Norman Luebbert, wife Nancy of Jefferson City MO.

Grandchildren James Stroud of Mount Airy NC, Tim Stroud, wife LeeAnn of Ashtabula, OH, Jason Gentry wife Erin of Phoenix, AZ. Kristin Watts husband Jarid of Huntersville, NC, Nick Luebbert, wife Fabia of Interlaken Switzerland, Anthony Gremp, Christie Snelson, Chelsea Snelson all of Longmont, CO and Nicole Nichols of Columbia, MO.  11 great, great grandchildren.

Private service. Burial will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park 1307 Old Hwy 64W, Lexington, NC 27295
