Willa Mae Mendenhall Starbuck

Willa Mae Mendenhall Starbuck 89 passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice Home.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 13, 2017 at Canaan United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Miller officiating.   A visitation with be held following the graveside service in the fellowship hall.   Willa was born in Davidson County on April 11, 1928 to the late Robah Mendenhall and Elizabeth Lashmitt Mendenhall.  She was also preceded in death by her husband William Max Starbuck; a sister, Doris Louse Mendenhall McGlamery and her husband Charles; a brother-in-law, Henry Clyde Shoaf.  She had worked with Hanes Hosiery and was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church.   Surviving is a son, Joe Van Starbuck (Pamela Sue Welch Starbuck) of Advance; Elizabeth Ann Starbuck of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Justin Shane Starbuck (Crystal) of Charlotte and a great grandson, Landen Joseph Starbuck of Charlotte; a sister, Reba Wilson Mendenhall Shoaf of Clemmons.   Memorials may be made Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.   Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
