Willard Lowe Hinkle, Sr.

Willard Lowe Hinkle, Sr., age 82 passed away early Sunday morning (October 28, 2012). A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 1 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. John Beeg officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, October 31st at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Mr. Hinkle was born on March 7, 1930 in Sarasota, Fl to Numa Lowe Hinkle and Sarah Geneva Willard Hinkle. He worked in the machine shop at Thomasville Furniture for over 25 years, member of The Boy Scouts for 50 years and a member of the National Guard for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife Thelma Elizabeth Briggs Hinkle of the home; two sons, Willard Lowe Hinkle, Jr. and wife Debra, and Terry Wayne Hinkle and fiancé Hoa Teuschler all of Welcome; one daughter, Patricia Diane Hinkle and friend Ron Greene also of Welcome; three sisters, Jane Morris of Kernersville, Ruby Wilkes and Ruth Hinkle both of Welcome; three grandchildren, Julie Hinkle, Bobby Hinkle and wife Dena and Rhandi Hinkle; four great grandchildren, Maggie McCrary, Brianna Franks, Gillian Rae Hinkle and Lincoln Dane Hinkle.
