William Noah Anderson Jr., age 83, a lifelong resident of Lexington, died peacefully, January 15, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, January 19, 2026, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Perdue officiating, Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service.
William was born in Davidson County April 5, 1942, to the late William and Leona Anderson. He was a graduate of Lexington Senior High and was retired from Lowe's Distribution Center. As an active member of Central Baptist Church he served as a Deacon, was a choir member, drove the church bus and helped at the church wherever needed.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years Patty, brother Danny and a sister-in-law Faye Kluttz.
William is survived by his wife Kaye Moorefield Anderson of the home. Sons Noah of Walnut Cove and Tim of Greensboro. Also surviving are brothers Larry (Karen), Donald (Peggy), sister-in-law Sharon, sister Linda Mize, brother-in-law George Kluttz, stepson Bryon Moorefield, stepdaughter Hope Cresswell (Mike) where he made his home, special aunt, Sis, and 2 special sisters-in-law Penny Canady and Jane Freeman; 5 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friend to the family Kevin Dills.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church at 1347 Hwy 47 East, Lexington NC, 27292 or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
The family would like to especially thank the entire staff at Hospice of Davidson, for all the care and compassion that was shown throughout these last several days.
