William Arthur Adams

William “Bill” Arthur Adams age 72 of Lexington passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 6, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Jason Koontz. Burial will follow to NC Baptist Children’s Home of Thomasville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Bill was born February 13, 1942 in Elmhurst, IL to William Peter Adams and Hattie Ruth MacPherson Adams. He graduated from Pensacola High School and spent most of his life in Pensacola, Florida where he met his wife Joann. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church and had retired from NC Baptist Children’s Home of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son; infant Nicholas and his sister Janice Adams. Surviving are his son; George Harry Adams ( Julie ) of Ocean Springs, MS, Cindy Adams Downs ( Wayne ) of Arcadia, Becky Adams Meadows ( Richard ) of Lexington, Sisters, Midge Kilgore ( Phil) of Chimayo, New Mexico, grandchildren; Trey, Hannah, Devin, Dakoda, Rachel, Dyllan, Hunter, Chandler, Valerie, Chase and Nicholas. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
