William Bean

William Edward Bean, age 90 of Robert Beck Road, Lexington died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Carolina House. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Rites by VFW Post 3074. Mr. Bean was born September 11, 1918 in Davidson county to William Robbins Bean and Jessie Eller Bean. A retired employee of Young-Hinkle Furniture Co., he was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force, having served during WWII and a member of the VFW Post 3074, American Legion Post 8 and Amvets Post 13. Surviving are his wife, Betty Junkins Bean of the home; brothers, Jacob Bean, Calvin Bean, Fred Bean and a sister, Opal Shaw all of Denton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, October 24, 2008 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME .
