William "Bill" Jones Carson

William “Bill” Jones Carson, age 84, formerly of Lexington passed away peacefully Monday, April 27, 2015, surrounded by his family, at Baldomero Lopez Veterans Nursing Home in Florida. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Salisbury National Cemetery. William was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was born in Surry County, NC January 28, 1931 to Joe Dee Carson and Mallie Glee Jones Carson. He was a retired vice-president and a Stock Broker for Interstate Securities. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Statesville and a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia “Jenny” Davis Carson in 2013, son-in-law, Robert Paul Dawson of Parrish, Florida and a sister Mary Frances Carson Woodhouse. Surviving are his daughters, Wendy Carson Dawson of Parrish, Florida, Kristy Carson Reavis (Robert) of Land O’ Lakes, Florida; son, William Jones Carson, Jr. (Joni) of Lake Norman, NC; two grandchildren, Carson Lee Reavis and Jake Grey Carson; sister, Betty Carson Shamel of Pilot Mountain; two nephews, Joey Snow and Bob Cook.
