William Leo “Bill” Cross, age 73 of Lexington passed away Sunday morning. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Becks Reformed Church.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Becks Reformed Church with Pastor James Byers officiating. Burial will follow at Becks Reformed Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday night and at other times at the home.
Bill was born in Davidson County October 19, 1940 to Arnold Leoanrd and Wilma Basinger Cross. He was a retired employee of Davidson Electric Membership Corp. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War; a life member of VFW Post 3074 and American Legion Post 8. He was an avid golfer, like to hunt and ride horses; loved to play corn hole, horse shoes and spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Isaacs and Alice Muchler; brother, Wayne Cross.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Beck Cross of the home; daughter, Cindy Cross Hall of Lexington; Scott Cross (Terry) of Lexington; grandchildren, Crissie (Shandall), Danielle (Bug), Chasanie (Charlton), Brac, Chelsea (Tim); 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Willenborg of Lexington.
