William “Bill” Harrison Wagner 67 passed away Wednesday afternoon February 18, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 23, 2015 at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Dr. Stephen Pillsbury. Military Rites will be given by The Davidson County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends following the service in the CFC at the church and other times at the home.
Bill was born in Davidson County on July 10, 1947 to the late Harrison and Edith Fansler Wagner. He retired from RJR and served in the US Army Security Agency from 1966 to 1970. Bill was a loving son, father, husband, father-in-law and brother. He was an active member of Center United Methodist Church, previously served on the Administrative Board. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, coached little league at Welcome School. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Wagner Harrison.
Surviving is his wife Kay Weaver Wagner of the home, married August 23, 1970; a son, Lyle Harrison Wagner (Jeannie) of Welcome; brother, John Wagner (Barbara) of Asheboro; sisters, Mary Snow (Moyer) of Advance, Becky Harvey (Danny) of Lexington. Bill had numerous nieces and nephews, a mother-in-law, Lois Weaver of Welcome and a beloved canine companion “Mack”.
