William "Billy" Holmes Sanders

William “Billy” Holmes Sanders Jr., 67, of Crow Creek Drive, died Thursday, September 30, 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Guilford Memorial Park, with the Rev. Bill Currie officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Mr. Sanders was born November 15, 1942, in Guilford County to William Holmes Sanders Sr. and Myrtle Burr Sanders. He was retired owner/operator of Sanders Water Pump Service and Sales and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Elizabeth Gorrell Sanders of the home; brothers, Rick Sanders of Lewisville and Donnie Sanders of Greensboro; and God children, Shannon Caldwell and Matt Gorrell.
