William “Billy” Wesley Blanchard, 60, of Twelve Oaks Drive, Linwood passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013, at High Point Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Shipes officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, at the funeral home.
Mr. Blanchard was born June 18, 1953, in Davidson County, to Nathan Blanchard Jr. and Ozelle Clodfelter Blanchard. He was retired from Thomas Built Bus and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Thomasville. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, James Nathan “Buddy” Blanchard who died in 1971.
Surviving are his wife, Lynette Clodfelter Blanchard of Lexington; son, William Wesley Blanchard Jr. and wife Debbie of Linwood; daughter, Brandy Lane and husband Timmy of Lexington; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother of Lexington; and sisters, Melissa Blanchard, Tammy Blanchard, and Christy Blanchard Chrissley and husband Rick, all of Lexington.
