William Grayer Broadwell

William Grayer Broadwell, 16, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, in Winston Salem.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Following the visitation, a funeral service to honor his life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Daniel McFeeters officiating.

Grayer was born on April 27, 2009, to Will and Jennifer Broadwell, in Chesapeake, Virginia.

He had a deep love for skateboarding and cherished every moment spent outdoors. Much of his time was devoted to exploring the woods, where he found peace and joy in the wilds of nature.

Grayer’s friends and family remember him as someone with a generous heart, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was a beautiful soul whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Even at a young age, his capacity to care so deeply touched the lives of many.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Garland Broadwell and grandmother, Shannon Lee Holston.

Left to carry his light are his parents, Will and Jennifer, of the home; brothers, Tyson and Colton Broadwell; sister Chloe Broadwell; grandparents, Wanda and Terry Keeler; great grandmother, Tina May; aunts, Joi Duvall (Brian), Jessica Keeler, and Jill Keeler (James Krolikowski); cousins, Natalie, Robert, Amy, Allison, Rayne, and Harvest; and a wonderful group of friends who were more like family in their closeness.

He will be missed greatly by all in his life and will continue to shine through each of them every day.
