William Carlton "Butch" Swicegood

William Carlton “Butch” Swicegood, age 72, of Lamb Road, Tyro Community passed away Tuesday at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday and at other times at the home. Carlton was born in Davidson County, February 3, 1941 to William Enos and Mary Helen Long Swicegood. He was a retired employee of Lexington Telephone Company with 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Ernest B. and Lillian Lamb Swicegood and Ben and Sudie Smith Long. Carlton is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Mundy Swicegood; daughters, Becky Mahan (Bob) of Lexington; Shelia Swicegood (Bobby Brown) of Candler and Crystal Price (Kelly) of Lexington; grandchildren, Derek Milan (Kristie), Jonathan Cain (Devin) and Austin Cain (Jessie Fulton) Tessa and Ty Mahan; great-grandchildren; and Paw Paws best buddies, Carter and Cali Milan.
