William Clark

William D. Clark, 74, of Candlewood Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral and burial will take place in Middletown, Conn. Mr. Clark was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Middletown, Conn., to Charles D. Clark and Marion Taylor Clark. He retired from Connecticut Valley Hospital and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard. He was a life member of the VFW in Higganum, Conn., and a member of the Goldwing Road Riders, having ridden in all contiguous 48 states. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his mother of Deland, Fla.; his wife, Ruth Mitchell Clark of the home; two sons, Joseph M. Clark of Welcome and Richard W. Clark of Meriden, Conn.; one daughter, Rubi Fellows of Haddam, Conn.; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn Justice of Deland, Fla., and Judith Flynn of Scottsdale, Ariz. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
