William Daniel Leonard

William Daniel Leonard, 76, of Round Swamp Road, Loris SC, formerly of Pine Lodge Road in Lexington, died Monday February 1, 2016, at his home in SC. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday February, 4, 2016 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow 9:00 am Friday February 5, 2016 at The National Cemetery in Salisbury. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Leonard was born November 28, 1939, in Davidson County, to David Baxter and Lora Lee Smith Leonard. He was retired from Snyder Trucking and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Mary Elizabeth Leonard, Elva Ward, and Barbara Hailey. Surviving is one son, Billy Whitley and wife Lisa of Lexington; four daughters, Michelle Moore and husband Phillip of Lexington, Wendi Leonard of Salisbury, Mary McKinney and husband Brandon of Tabor City North Carolina, and Sherry Smith and husband Randy of Loris South Carolina; as well as thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
