William Clarence Faircloth Jr., 67, of Lexington, died Thursday, July 6, 2006, at the Hospice Home of Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Moravian Church, where he was an active member, on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem, by the Revs. Reddick Weber, G. Tom Shelton and David Marcus. Burial will follow in the Moravian Graveyard in Old Salem.
Mr. Faircloth was the son of William C. and Mildred Thompson Faircloth. He served on the board of trustees, preschool board, head diener and other leadership roles in his church. He was owner of Faircloth Machine Shop in Winston-Salem for 35 years until his retirement in 2005. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Salem Lodge 36. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Wright Faircloth; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Edward Sr. and Sarah Forbes Faircloth of Lexington; two grandchildren, Michael Edward Faircloth Jr. and Anna Stewart Faircloth, both of Lexington; one sister, Dr. Frances F. Jones and brother-in-law, Bill, of Asheboro; his mother-in-law, Helen Wright of Winston-Salem; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gene and Peggy Wright and Bill Wright Jr., all of Winston-Salem, and Don and Tina Phillips of Michigan; nieces and nephews, Kelly and Gina Puryear of Fayetteville, Eugene "Bud" Wright, Reynolds Wright, Tammy Wright and Craig Phillips, all of Winston-Salem, and Dr. Drew and Leigh Jones of Greensboro; and seven great-nieces and nephews, Brian Wright, Davis and Claire Puryear, Brittany Hawks, and Haley, Davis and Cameron Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel.
