William Frank Gunter, 77, of Dellwood Drive, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after declining health of five months.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at East End Baptist Church, where he was a charter member, by the Rev. Tim Gainey. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Gunter was born November 28, 1929 in Swaim County, to George William Gunter and Estella Montieth Gunter. He was married to Barbara Watkins Gunter who preceded him in death in 1969 and then married Doris Maureen Coe Gunter who also preceded him in death in 2003. He was a former employee of Lexington Furniture Industries.
Surviving are a son,William “Gene” Gunter and his wife, Martha “Marty”, of Archdale; a daughter, Diane Fleming and her husband, Thomas, of Thomasville; brother, Van Louis Gunter and his wife, Rachael, of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Scott Gunter and wife, Missy, Glen Gunter and wife, Christi, Jill Hunt and husband, Michael, all of Lexington, Daniel Fleming and wife, Jennifer, of Winston-Salem, Jamie Frampton and husband, Rick, of Henderson, Larry French and his wife Jennifer and Niki Moore and her husband Chris both of High Point; and eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Gunter, Dylan Gunter, Noah Gunter, Hayley Moore, Brittani Moore, Mia Moore, Alex French, and Cameron French.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at their respective homes.
