William Murray Lineberger, IV, of Lineberger Drive, died September 22, 2015, at Wake Forest Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A memorial service with military honors will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at National Cemetery in Salisbury.
Mr. Lineberger was born, March 2, 1944, in Atlanta, Ga., to William Murray Lineberger, III and Sara Marie Dickerson. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He enjoyed working in his yard and loved his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. In addition to his father, Daddy Bill, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeana Danielle Lineberger and her husband Ronald Dean Norman.
Mr. Lineberger is survived by his mother, Mama Sara; step-son, Mark A. Epley(Buffy); grandchildren, Brittney Danielle Norman, Joseph Kyle Smith, Tyler Dean Norman, and Mariah Dawn Norman; brother, Carl Dickerson “Dickie” Lineberger Sr.; sister, Rebecca Susan Lineberger Moser; nieces and nephews, Carl Dickerson “Dickie II” Lineberger, II, Jessica Marie Grubb Bumgarner (Ryan), William McKinley “Mac” Lineberger, Charles Norton “Charlie” Grubb (Shannon), Christopher Robert “Chris” Lineberger, Matthew Murray Moser; four great-nieces; and his former wife, Myra Jean Forshee. He is also survived by his best friends, Alisa Crowder and Cindy Smith.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wake Forest Medical Center for the care given to Mr. Lineberger during his illness.
