William A. “Willie” Medlin, 91 of Baney Drive Lexington died Thursday in Lexington Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Medlin was born July 4, 1915 in Davidson County to Albert Medlin and Mary Ellen Billings Medlin. He was a retired employee of Dakota Cotton Mill. He was preceded in death by his wife Iris Marie Leonard Medlin who passed away September 12, 1991. He was also preceded in death by a brother David Medlin, and sisters Hallie Loman, Jenny Barnes, Rosa Medlin, and Letha Crepps.
Surviving are a son Albert Wayne Medlin and wife Garnell of Shelby; daughters Dorothy Rattz, Betty Harrell, Louise Crotts and husband Jerry all of Lexington. Six Grandchildren, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren; three Great-Great-Grandchildren; and a sister Velna Garrison and husband Hubert of Lexington.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The service will be conducted by Rev. Clyde Akers. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at 183 Shannon Drive.
