William Abraham Morell

William Abraham Morell, 54, a resident of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in Durham, NC. He was born May 27, 1968, to Maria Caridad Fonseca Krueger. He worked for Fidelity Investment Company. William was an immensely talented person. He was a musician who sang, danced, played the keyboard, and even wrote his own music. He was especially a fan of the artist, Prince. William was an artist who loved to paint and draw; and his cooking was greatly enjoyed by many friends and family. He was ambitious and loved to learn about various subjects. His current endeavor was learning all he could about plants, but he also enjoyed studying the Bible. To learn more from his biblical studies, William taught himself to read and write in Hebrew. William’s sister, Isabel recalls his impeccable fashion sense and witty sense of humor. William loved his family tremendously. He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Emerito Morell.

A funeral service will be held in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 1:45 PM. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM Thursday. Interment will immediately follow the service in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Miguelangel Deon Morell of Atlanta, Georgia, Jamell Antonio Morell of Seattle, Washington, Layla Kamora Yvette Morell-Simpson (Stephen Simpson) of Oceanside, California, William Abraham Morell, Jr., and Caleb Seth Matthew Morell both of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; his mother, Maria of the home; his stepfather, Hermann Krueger; his siblings, Isabel Cranston (Gary) of Lexington, Miguel Tomas Morell (Vicki) of Gainsville, GA, Adan Morell (Cynthia) of Harlem, Georgia, and Daniel Morell (Natalia) of Vancouver, Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
