William Harold Padgett, age 70 of Columbus Lane, Thomasville passed away Friday morning (January 14, 2011) at Britthaven of Davidson. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday (January 17, 2011) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
Harold was born in Iredell County, June 24, 1940 to William Norris Padgett and Annie Pauline Hunter Padgett. He was a retired employee of ASMO of NC and was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyn Church. He was a graduate of Union Grove High School and a former employee of Superior Dairies and Southern Bakeries. Harold enjoyed all things associated with John Deere. He was preceded in death by his parents and former wife Bonnie Creedmore Padgett.
Surviving are: his wife, Barbara Bates Padgett of the home; one son Scottie Davis Padgett of Statesville; one grandson, Joshua Scott Padgett of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Shelby Mullis and husband James of Harmony, Ann Hope of Tega Cay, SC and Mary Troutman of Olin, NC; Step-Daughter, Pamela Idol and husband Scott of Lexington; step-son, Brian Holland and wife Misty of Lexington; two step-granddaughters, Alisha and Anna Callicutt and a number of nieces and nephews.
