William Kenneth Shafer

William Kenneth Shafer, 66, of Pinewood Drive, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Shafer was born on March 13, 1944, to Kenneth Shafer and Marion Adams Shafer. He was a machinist at Myers Tool and Machines. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Butts Shafer of the home; son Bret Shafer; stepsons, John Barger, Ron Barger and Larry Barger; stepdaughters, Susan Day, Julie Hege and Erin Cardwell; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Shafer, David Shafer and Kenny Shafer; and sisters, Deborah Cournean and Sandy Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
