William Dendy Stuart, 70, of Young Road., Lexington died Saturday December 22, 2007 in Wake Forest U. Baptist Medical Center after a sudden illness.
A funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday December 27, 2007 at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery.
Mr. Stuart was born September 15, 1937 in Piedmont County , South Carolina to William Maxwell Stuart and Rosalie Hinton Hyatt Stuart Parker. He was employed with G.W. Smith Lumber Company after he had retired from the City of Lexington. He attended Freedom Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the Spencer Moose Lodge #2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step father Robert Hyatt Parker, a grandson, Adam Ray Mack Hall, a sister Maxie Long.
Surviving, are one son, Dendy Hyatt of Lexington, 3 daughters, Vivanna Wright and husband Charles, Luanna Stuart, and Deanna Walser and husband Bobby, all of Lexington. One brother, Cecil Stuart and wife Sandra of South Carolina, a sister, Betty Porter and husband Buddy of South Carolina 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a loving sister-in-law, Glenda Hatfield.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home on Young Road.
