William Roy Swicegood

William Roy Swicegood, age 81 of Lexington passed away Tuesday, March 28th 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House with family by his side. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Thursday, March 30th 2017 at Midway United Methodist Church Christian fellowship Center with Rev. Charles Ireson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the CFC. William was born August 2nd 1935 in Davidson County to William Madison Swicegood and Alice Perryman Swicegood. He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and had served in the United States Army. William retired with the Archer Division at RJR. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife Lorene Wagoner Swicegood of the home; son, Michael Dwayne Swicegood (Avera); brother, Kenneth Swicegood; sister, Nancy Carroll Schachle; granddaughter, Megan Swicegood all of Lexington.
