William Richard "Dick" Tedder

Mr. William Richard “Dick” Tedder, age 88 of Hinkle Lane, Welcome died Wednesday, January 10 at his home on Hinkle Lane.   A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at Bethesda United Methodist Church where he was a member, with Rev. Danny Miller officiating services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery will Military graveside rites.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.   Mr. Tedder was born June 20, 1929 in Stokes County to Ralph Tedder and Pauline Tedder. He was owner operator of Tedder Farm Equipment in Lexington. He served in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harrelle Tedder and Norris Tedder; and three sisters, Nelma Browder, Lois Wooters and Brenda Parrish.   Surviving is his wife, of 65 years, Betty Royal Tedder of the home; two sons, Craig Tedder and Fiance Emma of Welcome, and David Tedder and wife Crystal of Welcome; daughter, Karen Jones and husband James of Welcome; two brothers, Gayle Tedder of Kernersville, and Barry Tedder of Ridgeway Virginia; 5 grandchildren; Andrea Davis Cooper and husband Scott, Brandon Spaugh and wife Kelly, Lindsay Tedder, Logan Tedder and wife Brittany and Colton Tedder, and three great-grandchildren; Chevy Davis, Maddy Spaugh and Paxton Spaugh.
