William Geyer Trueheart

William Geyer Trueheart Jr., 76, of Ridge Drive in Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Lexington Health Care Center in Lexington. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements are finalized. 

Mr. Trueheart, affectionately known as Bill to his friends, was born on April 15, 1949, in Augusta County, Virginia, to the late William Geyer Trueheart Sr. and Barbara Jean Adams Trueheart. He lived a life marked by curiosity and craftsmanship. William had a builder’s mindset and a wide range of interests, including photography, constructing computers, and woodworking. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy. His legacy lives on in the things he built, the knowledge he shared, and the family he loved. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann McLaughlin Trueheart, of the home; his son, Scott Trueheart (Theresa), of Colorado; his daughter, Kim Lineberry (T.J.), of Lexington; his brother, Doug Trueheart (Karen), of Florida; and three grandchildren, Zoe, Trey, and Sophia.
