William Page Truell, 88, of Greensboro Street Extension, died Monday, February 22, 2016, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor David Robinson and William’s nephew, Pastor Jimmy Truell officiating. Entombment with military graveside rites will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Truell was born August 15, 1927, in Davidson County, to William Henry Truell and Ethel Carlton Truell. He was retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries where he had been employed in the finishing room. Mr. Truell served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Ray Truell, Archie Truell and Clyde Truell; and a sister, Vera Truell.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Worley Truell of the home; stepsons, Glenn Hollman and wife Pam and William Hollman and wife Sandy, all of Lexington; and a sister, Frances Parrott and husband Gene of Fairfax, Va.
