William Reggie Weavil, age 59, of Sundial Drive, Lexington passed away Saturday February 18, 2012 at Lexington Medical Center. A memorial service to celebrate Reggie’s life will be at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday February 22, 2012 in the chapel of Davidson Funeral Home.
The family will see friends one hour prior to the memorial service at Davidson Funeral Home.
Reggie was born August 8, 1952 in Forsyth County, to William Marshall Weavil and Lois Wood Weavil. He started playing the guitar professionally at age 13 and played on a radio show at age 15. His talents earned him a position in the Billy Crash Craddock Band for 10 years, which gave him the opportunity to play at the Grand Old Opry, and on The Nashville Network. He was currently the owner of Smart Buy Furniture. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Sons of the American Veterans Association.
Surviving Reggie is: his wife, Lori Fintel Weavil of the home; his parents of Welcome; sons, Nick Bullock of Trinity N.C. and Clint Bullock currently serving with the U. S. Army in Afghanistan; stepdaughter, Taylor Youngblood of Welcome; sister Sherri Raeford and husband Steve of Pleasant Garden; and two grandsons, John Leonard and Christopher Youngblood.
Memorials in Reggie’s memory, may be given to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, N.C. 27292
