Willie Dwayne Byerley

Willie Dwayne Byerley, age 84, of Patricia Lane passed away at Hinkle Hospice House with family by his side.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2024, at Davidson Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Luck officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Dwayne was born in Davidson County, NC to Willie C. Byerley and Dorothy Mae Everhart Byerley, who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded by his beloved wife of 58 years, Kay Carpenter Byerley; brother, Bruce Byerley and sisters, Judy Charles and Andrea Byerley.

Dwayne honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a faithful member of 2nd Reformed United Church of Christ. He spent his career as a brick mason and owned and operated Byerley Masonry.

Those left to cherish his memory include four children Mark Byerley, Kelly Coppley, Chris Byerley and Michael Byerley (Shannon); his grandchildren, Brandon Perrell (Berea), Matthew Perrell, Colton Coppley, Ashley Reeves (Chris) and Chloe Byerley; great-grandchildren, Ella Perrell, Holden Perrell, Amaris Thomas and Elijah Wright and sister, Erlene Crotts, as well as his beloved dog, Buddy. Dwyane was well loved by all who knew him and will be missed by many extended family members and friends.
