William “Willie” Grant Frazier, age 95 of Carolina House of Lexington, formerly of Druid Hills Drive, Lexington, passed Saturday night (8-22-2009) at Carolina House. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (8-26-2009) in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Joe D. Coltrane and Rev. Eric Lanier officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.
William was born in Davidson County, January 29, 1914 to Oliver Franklin Frazier and Artie Everhart Frazier. He was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ and was Elder Emeritus. He was a retired employee of United Furniture Company. He served in the Army-Air Force during World War II, a member of VFW Post 3074 and American Legion Post 8. Preceded in death by his parents and his wife Margaret Sink Frazier on January 5, 2008, one sister Myrtle Osborne and one brother, Clarence Frazier.
Surviving are: two daughters, Melanie Lanier and husband Eric of Charlotte and Patricia Teague and husband Robert of Summerville, SC; four grandchildren, Brian Teague, Jeremy Lanier, Timothy Teague and Erin Lanier; three great-grandchildren, Alex Teague, Noah Teague and Savannah Teague; two sisters, Vera Walden of Lexington and Hilda Evans and husband Ralph of Winston Salem; two brothers, Arvel Frazier and wife Isabel of Lexington and Bryce Frazier and wife Barbara of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 pm Wednesday, prior to the service.
