Willie Goins

Willie Goins, age 74 of East Holly Grove Road, Lexington passed away Monday night at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Smith and Dewey Everhart officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service. Willie was born in Avery County, August 26, 1939 to Will and Sylvia Ingram Goins. He was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lancy Louie Goins in 2010; sister, Betty Lou Wrenn; brothers, Vennie, Paul, Milton and Henry Goins. Surviving are his son, Marty Goins (Lynnette) of Lexington; grandchildren, Amber and Chase Goins; sisters, Heidi Kepley, Maxine Leonard and Becky Crotts all of Lexington; brother, Sam Goins of Lexington.
