Willie Hester Hicks

Willie Lee Hester Hicks, age 88 of Kernersville, passed away Tuesday (February 9, 2010) at Britthaven of Kernersville. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday (February 11, 2010) at North Pointe Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Darrell Greene officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service. Mrs. Hicks was born in Gaston County, NC July 11, 1921 to Albert Pickney Hester and Betty Ann Lawing Hester. She was a homemaker and a member of North Pointe Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and husband John Randolph Hicks. Survivng are: one daughter, Treva Hurt of Kernersville; two grandchildren, Kim Tilley of Stanley and Josh Hurt of Lexington; and four great-grandchildren.
