Willie Owens

Willie Mae Ransom Owens, 82, of Eastwood Dr., Lexington died Saturday, July 26, 2014 in Grayson Creek of Welcome Assisted Living after 9 years of extended illness. Services will be held at later date. Mrs. Owens was born May 13, 1932 in Red Springs, NC to Mack Ransom and Ora Lowe Ransom. She was a former employee of Hardees and a member of First Baptist Church in St. Paul’s, NC. Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Jasper Owens, a son, Ricky Owens, three brothers, James Ransom, Gerald Ransom, Josh Ransom and a sister, Juanita Muse. Surviving are two sons, Terry Owens of Lexington, Harold Owens, (Patricia) of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
