Willie Ruth Beane

Willie Ruth Harkey Beane 88 of McCarn Road, Lexington passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home after declining health of 6 months. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Ray Harris. There will not be a public visitation, however, the family will be at her home. Mrs. Beane was born June 2, 1924 in Rowan County to William Brian Harkey and Lillie Irene Wiley Harkey. She was a retired shipping clerk for Stone Container and a member of Arbor Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Rome Beane; a daughter, Janice Irene Teague; and a brother, Billy Harkey. Surviving are her daughters: Bonnie House of Archdale, Judy Crow and husband, Gary of Durham, Kaye Beane, Ann Coley and Mary Sue Beane; all of Lexington; her grandchildren, Scott, Laura, John, Chuck, Jeff, and Todd; her great grandchildren, Scotty, Jeremy, Caroline, Jake, Nathan, Nichole, and Heather; her great great grandchildren, Henry, Jeremiah and Landon; two sisters, Patricia Hedrick and Julia Harkey, both of Lexington; her loving canine companions, Ike and Nugget of the home; her nephew, Billy Hedrick; and her nieces, Angel Harkey and Heidi Hedrick.
